    Product Description

"The abortion debate raises sensitive issues, and often provokes strong reactions on both sides of the argument. As we consider the Bible's teaching on this matter, it is vital that we do not simply discuss things in a theoretical way, but also consider the real heartache, distress and fear that many women and couples face. As we progress through this little booklet, I want us to think carefully of ways in which we can genuinely support them. A lot of people say that abortion is a woman's issue, and that, as a man, I should not speak about it. But, as a Christian, I believe God has spoken about it, and His voice must be heard. We must be willing to submit to His truth, knowing that He is good, and His ways are best. What I have written is what I believe the Bible teaches on this issue. Through my work as a GP, I have met many women with unplanned pregnancies. I have always tried to treat them with care and compassion, whether they decided to keep the baby or not, because the Bible teaches that all are valuable in God's sight – the unborn child; the single, teenage mum; as well as those who have had abortions. It is vital, then, that on this contentious issue we '[speak] the truth in love' (Eph 4.15), and thus remind people of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who was 'full of grace and truth' (Jn 1.14)" (Dr Philip Mullan).
