    Product Description

Anthony Reddie, one of the UK's best known black theologians, applies the lessons and theories of black theology to a pastoral context. He offers a series of short stories, followed by theological reflection and analysis, which suggest new ways of understanding 'self' and 'other' in terms of Christian practice.

    Is God Colour-Blind?

This is an articulate, intelligent and questioning book, that is both theological treatise and also practical and accessible resource material, providing an incredible series of studies that can and should be used in group settings to raise, address and question issues of weight for churches and Christian mission - though these questions are framed in the methodology of race issues they extend further than that.
Let's be perfectly honest here, this book is not an easy read and certainly at times makes for uncomfortable reading, but then that is because it genuinely forces you to face questions and issues around the whole issue of race, colour and perception. That said it is not a condemnatory book at all and instead seeks to address imbalance with balance and to open doors wide so as to allow for growth and mutual respect.
Reddie has here provided a book that is accessible and that must be used, especially in places where some might think they don't need it. This is a genuine book for most churches to make use of, if only as a way of benchmarking where we are in our own journeys of acceptance.
