During his college years, all Darren Conrad wanted to do was be a good student. But he studied too little, drank too much, and did not always show up to class. After graduation, he thought he would get into the pharmaceutical industry, but his plans did not go the way he imagined. Instead, he started working in the mattress industry, founding his own company and creating an unstoppable business process that sealed amazing success for his dealers! His life got derailed, however, when a competitor sued him, his bank accounts were drained and his company taken away. Darren never dreamed he would be driving across the country with a few belongings, his loyal dog, heading to a destination unknown. At the time, he did not know that his first cross-country road trip would serve as the foundation for what would become THE RUGGED ROAD TRIP! Ever since then, Darren has been travelling throughout the country, visiting and inspiring dealers along the way, and even more importantly, paving the way to his own personal redemption, with metal over miles, a lot of zeal, sweat, and faith, ultimately changing the course of not only his life, but of many others.
