      Product Description

'The Art of Clinical Supervision' is not merely a technical manual, although it provides clear, clinically-proven approaches. It is a volume designed both to increase one's motivation to employ the supervisory process in an intelligent, well thought out fashion, and to encourage a deep desire to respond to the call to be both professionally and spiritually attuned to the mission of supervision. This book takes a comprehensive approach and presents itself as an introductory view of the whole panorama of supervision as an opportunity. Robert J. Wicks, series editor The Reverend Barry K. Estadt, OFM, PhD, is Director Emeritus of Counseling Programs at Loyola College of Maryland. He holds a Diploma in Counseling Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology, a Diploma from the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and is a Certified Supervisor with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. Father Estadt is a licensed psychologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Pennsylvania. He is the editor of 'Pastoral Counseling'. The Reverend John R. Compton is an ordained minister of the American Lutheran Church. He holds an MDiv from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, an STM from New York Theological Seminary, and a DMin from Lancaster Theological Seminary. He served pastorates in Florida and New Jersey prior to his clinical pastoral education training. Dr. Compton is Professor Emeritus at Loyola College of Maryland. Melvin C. Blanchette, SS, received his PhD in Professional Psychology from the United States International University. He is a member of the faculty at Saint Patrick's Seminary, Menlo Park, California. In addition to his teaching and supervising assignments, he is a licensed certified psychologist in private practice. He has worked extensively with priests and religious who wish to integrate their lives with their ministry.
