This book was inspired by the movie The Ten Commandments, starring Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner. This movie told the story of how God's people were delivered out of bondage and slavery by Moses, played by Charlton Heston. God appeared to Moses in a bush that burned but was not consumed. He was instructed by God to go to Egypt and tell Pharaoh, played by Yul Brynner, to let his people go. However, it's not common knowledge of how the Hebrews became slaves. This book, The Journey to Egypt, tells the story bit by bit of how God's people became slaves and eventually were set free, as God prophesied to Abraham.
