Melchizedek the donkey had faithfully served his old master until the donkey had grown old and weary. The donkey is at first angry about being sold to a new master, and then becomes very worried when he learns that he is to carry Joseph's wife Mary to faraway Bethlehem. After a disastrous fall almost happens, Melchizedek is ashamed and decides to run away in the night, but then the donkey is confronted by an angel....
