As a young girl living with an abusive stepmother, Amina Giselle began to use daydreaming as a means to escape her world. It wasn't until it unleashed a buried traumatic memory that her life spiralled even further.
How does a child come to terms with a traumatic memory when malevolence already breathed and thrived in her desolate environment? The strength of the human will to escape and find freedom, the undying hope that exists deep within and that persistently echoes the sound of possibility; and the glimmer of sunshine that seeps into even the darkest tunnel of the soul, is God's equipping for survival and overcoming. Feeling alone and living in fear and trepidation, Amina Giselle wanders through life carrying the weight of her plights on her shoulders, but not without an invincible inner strength. Moving away from her abusive home to the other side of the world would give her a chance and a zest to search for the newness of life. Along this journey, she is guided to Islam - a beautiful way of life that would change her forever.
