Most Christians have been told and believe that there will a "secret rapture". When this occurs, they will instantaneously be taken to heaven. Also, when this happens, many of their loved ones and all of the wicked will be left behind on earth to suffer a "Great Tribulation." There have even been popular movies depicting this.
