Now that the first rays of sunshine have touched the Eden office, the Eden staff have been digging out their sunglasses, ironing their summery t-shirts and dusting off their battery powered handheld fans. We know it’s also a time to unpack the board games, raid the craft shops and search for the outdoor games box in the garage with the 6-week school holiday on its way.
Here are five suggestions to keep your kids, or a group of kids, entertained with Christian-based fun activities.
‘Who-Hoo Loves You’ Foam Craft Kit:
This quirky craft kit comes in unassembled foam pieces, waiting for little hands to stick the foam pieces together to make their very own owl picture frame. Simply cut photos of your children into circles and stick them in the middle and they’ll be reminded all summer long who-oo it is that Jesus loves... them of course!
Colour-Your-Own Sun Catcher - SHINE & God Is Love:
Take advantage of the sunshine with these transparent sun catchers. Using permanent marker pens, your kids can colour-in the plastic, stick it to a sun-facing window with the suction pad provided and watch as their colourful creation lights up the room.
With two designs: S.H.I.N.E Sun Catcher & God Is Love Sun Catcher – you can make the fun last longer.
Cross-Weaving Mat Activity Kit:
An ideal craft for a children’s sermon/family service. This set of 6 weaving mats helps kids make a colourful, interwoven cross reminding us how God wove each of us into His family through Jesus’ sacrifice.
Resurrection Butterfly Window Sticker:
Add colour to this cute little butterfly, helping your child to learn and remember the story of Easter. Using permanent pens, simply colour-in using the chart and following the story, and your kids will have a beautifully decorated repositionable window sticker to put on their bedroom window.
3D 60-Piece Puzzle Globe:
Challenge your kids to create the world! Suitable for ages 5+, this 3D jigsaw puzzle is made of rigid plastic pieces and comes with a firm base so it doesn’t roll away. Once they’ve finished their globe, they’ll have a wonderful reminder of God’s amazing creation.
