Publisher's Description

Without Words began as an instrumental experiment by the Bethel Music community who set out to push the creative boundaries of worship. Each song offers a distinct listening experience and carries its own story. Songs from previous Bethel Music albums have been deconstructed and re-arranged into versions that hint at original melodies through unique instrumentation and modern sounds. Each track creates a dynamic, ambient, and cinematic atmosphere- free from lyric and discourse. The album ventures into new territory and explores what it is to worship without words.

Bethel Music presents...

“We wanted to create an album where the heart of worship would be unlocked by listening and engaging with the voice of an instrument and the voice of music.”

“… where a listener could feel free to worship the Lord without being tethered to language.”

“The theme that we created throughout this record was trying to come up with a journey from beginning to end, where from track 1 to track 10 you’re taken on journey of highs and lows, of soaking of celebration. Every kind of ‘gammit’ of emotion that man tends to express to God.”

“There’s a time forwards there’s a time them be few and be none and to allow to be silent before the Lord and allow the music to speak and us to respond.”

Without Words. 3.15.13.

Sounds Speak Louder Than Words

The Bethel Music community have been going from strength to strength with each album release, with a great response to their most recent album. So we were excited to hear about their brand new project Without Words, a clever play on words. As you may or may not have guessed this is an instrumental album.

The tracks have been inspired by the last album For the Sake of the World but this album is all new. To take away the words heightens the listeners senses and allows you to pick up on sounds/ instruments you may never have noticed, and this is coming from someone who is pretty musically challenged!

One of the stand out features of this album is its reflective nature, whereas at times it is easy to get carried away with the words of a song, without them you are left to your own creative devices to worship God in a personal and unique way. Each has its own stunning composition that would make an excellent accompaniment to personal prayer or for use in a small group reflective session.

With outstanding quality of sound, from the anthemic to the ambient there will be a track for your every mood and what is great about an instrumental album is its versatility. Play it in the car on your commute, in the background of your church café or when you are relaxing in the evening with a cup of tea.

There is something of a 'soundtrack' quality to the music which will make you want to block everything out and turn to the Creator – there is something very special about this album, you won't be disappointed and you may find yourself enjoying personal worship on a whole new level.
