Whispers of Wisdom for WomenMelanie Carroll, via The Good Book Stall
The meditations in the book are excellent, a one line scripture verse followed by modern considerations of a number of topics - I was particularly taken by one on waking up grumpy and another on GPS systems! These are offered by a variety of authors thus making the readings different enough to suit a variety of tastes and styles. On the opposite page to each meditation there is a one line prayer and then a quote taken from a variety of religious writers which could be used as a thought for your day.
A wonderfully produced little book with really high design values all the way through, a beautiful sepia cover with a lovely faded fabric print of flowers and embossed title, add in the green ribbon marker and the fact that each page is also attractively done in a tea-stained effect with flower images from the front carried throughout and creating a lovely gift book to give to any woman, be they mother or friend.
