Eddie Askew died a few months after his wife and his daughters have used papers he left for the purpose, to complete this very moving account of their father’s grieving; first for his wife’s illness and subsequently her death. Eddie Askew’s words and paintings have ‘spoken’ to so many people through the years that these extremely personal words and paintings will resonate in many hearts, expressing as they do the feelings most of us have felt to some degree and not been able to share.
Jenny and Stephanie add their own words to their father’s, explaining that he left these papers for them to find and use, in the hope that they will help others.
The painful journey of the family throughout these years of suffering and death will surely help others as they travel the same road.
