The Self-Centred Spouse : Help for Chronically Broken Marriages

There are many books written for "normal" struggles of marriage, however, there are few books on how Scripture counsels those who are in chronically broken marriages. Jesus, in Matthew 7:1-6, outlines two forms of self-centredness that can mar a marriage.

Anyone in a marriage knows that we are all self-centred spouses who are married to self-centred spouses. But when this all-too-common sin becomes severe and chronic, it results in a marital environment of abuse or neglect—leaving the spouse on the receiving end feeling trapped and hopeless.
