Find Out MoreScandal of Grace by Nick Baines was published by St Andrew Press in May 2008 and is our 38081st best seller. The ISBN for Scandal of Grace is 9780715208663.
Nick Baines, Bishop of Croydon, writer and broadcaster (BBC Radio 2's "Pause for Thought"), originally wrote this book in 2003 and it was published in 2004 as "Jesus and People Like Us". (Reviewed 2004 by TGBS under that title. Editor) He has an accessible style of writing which informs with clarity, and speeds the reader through the scriptures, with particular reference to the people within and their reactions, to highlight for the contemporary reader the challenge of journeying with Jesus, but also the rewards. A good book, I would think, for the new Christian to deepen their commitment, and for those wishing to refresh their faith.
