Patricia St John
Full Product Description
After almost being born in the middle of a storm on the Bay of Biscay it was no surprise to see Patricias life take twists and turns along the way. She had an adventurous spirit so when the bombs fell during the blitz in London there she was, working as a nurse! When looking after 30 children in a boarding school as housemother her exciting bedtime stories kept the children up! They were later to become her classic stories, Tanglewoods Secret and Treasures of the Snow! When her brother needed her help at his hospital in Morrocco Patricia just jumped on the back of his motorbike and went with him. Every place that she called home was the inspiration for yet another story that brought children to understand and love their Lord Jesus Christ.
This is an amazing story of a much-loved figure in Christian history. A trailblazer for women, and for Christians everywhere.
Patricia St John by Irene Howat was published by Christian Focus Publications in May 2008 and is our 15822nd best seller. The ISBN for Patricia St John is 9781845503284.

Patricia St John: The Story Behind the StoriesMary Bartholomew, via The Good Book Stall
If you know the stories written by Patricia St John, you will enjoy reading about her life and finding out why and when she wrote those stories. She was not a stay-at-home writer, she wrote about things and places she knew. Her parents were missionaries in Brazil, South America and when her Mother brought the older children home and Patricia was born, they lived with Grandmother and Great –grandmother at Malvern, one year they spent in Switzerland and that is where Patricia started school. Back in Malvern and to a school where her Aunt taught and later became Headmistress, till on leaving school she trained as a nurse, but on returning to Malvern she was persuaded to become a housemother to thirty young children who were boarders at her Aunt’s school. This experience stood her in good stead when she went out to Tangier to help her doctor brother and when he married she started missionary work among the villagers.....and so the story continues! A thoroughly good read!
