New Dictionary Of Christian Apologetics
Full Product Description
The Dictionary addresses the main intellectual objections to the Christian faith, and puts the case in its favour from a wide variety of perspectives. But since apologetics is the task of the whole person, the contributors also consider how the truth of the church's message can be demonstrated within the diverse elements of contemporary culture.
Christian students and scholars in all major disciplines, pastors and lay leaders of local churches, and anyone actively involved in evangelism or social outreach will be empowered by this dictionary to witness more effectively to Christ, in word and deed.
New Dictionary Of Christian Apologetics by Campbell Campbell-Jack & Gavin J. McGrath (Editors), C. Stephen Evans (Consulting Editor) was published by Intervarsity Press in March 2006 and is our 20136th best seller. The ISBN for New Dictionary Of Christian Apologetics is 9781844740932.

New Dictionary of Christian ApologeticsMary Bartholomew, via The Good Book Stall
A large academic volume packed with information. Following guidance as to how to use this book, Part One is made up of Christian apologetics for a new century: Approaches to apologetics: Legitimacy of apologetics: Viability of apologetics: Theology and apologetics and Apologetics and the non-Western world. Part Two has an Index of names, of subjects and of articles. No way could I, a non academic, read through this as a normal review, but I did read at random, and found clear explanations of words: terms: religions etc: short but detailed biographies, each with their own bibliography: all making up an invaluable resource, and many hours of reading.
