Find Out MoreMrs. Noah's Vegetable Ark by Steve Lavis was published by Lion Hudson in August 2010 and is our 29579th best seller. The ISBN for Mrs. Noah's Vegetable Ark is 9780745961880.
This is an imaginative twist to the Noah’s Ark story that is refreshingly different from the norm. Keeping very loosely to the theme of the Bible story, in this version a very European looking Mrs Noah busily looks after her kitchen garden until Noah starts loading the animals. This is when Mrs Noah realises that if Noah is going to save all the animals, she had better do something about all the plants! I loved one of the final twists when the dove comes back with a twig. An environmental story rather than a truly Bible one – but none the worse for that. I loved it and children will as well.
