Magical Tales from India

Full Product Description

“The Secret of the White Elephant” Inspired by an Indian folktale, this beautifully illustrated story is about a boy named Arun, who has been dreaming of having wonderful adventures. One day, he discovers a little white elephant who flies him into a magic garden where they have amazing adventures! The little elephant becomes Arun’s friend and asks him to keep the garden their secret. But Arun forgets his promise when he meets his sister. She too doesn’t keep the secret of the magic garden, so soon all the village children know about it. “Mukti the Lion Finds Himself” The inspiration for this story is a parable from the Vedas. This ancient tale has been illustrated and retold for children. The story is about a lion cub who is adopted by a flock of sheep. As he grows up, all the sheep forget that Mukti, the lion, is not one of them. And though Mukti has learned to live like a sheep in the flock, deep in his heart, he feels different. One night Mukti meets a big lion. At first he is very afraid. But soon the lion becomes his best friend and teacher, showing him his true nature. A resplendent illustrated book that not only entertains and encourages imagination , but instills life lessons in children and young readers.
