Andrew Killick is a licensed Reader in the Church of England. His book started as a series of ten articles. They have now been adapted and expanded to give 12 chapters on Old Testament books and 12 on the New Testament, plus maps, helpful hints, summaries of each book and sections on what the Bible is and why we should study it.

This book is suitable for those with a desire to know more about the Bible in shorter bursts. The chapters can be read in any order, with helpful hints included throughout. At the end of each chapter there is suggested reading for those who haven't the time to read the whole of the book under discussion.
