‘God’s Not Dead’ – by rising evangelist Rice Brook – is an apologetics book for today’s university students and twenty-something’s with empathy towards Christianity, but find themselves surrounded by our atheist culture.
A recent ‘Newsweek’ article revealed this quite believable statement – “the fastest-growing segment of belief among the young is atheism.”
This evidence-based book is Rice Broock’s response to the rising atheist movement who find Christianity unable to withstand our postmodern culture. Using logic, science, philosophy and the Bible, Rice forms a persuasive argument for God’s existence, for an active faith and the Bible’s reputation.
With a three pronged objective, Rice Broock wrote this book to:
• Strengthen young believers: those who know that faith is subjective, but find it difficult to communicate it
• Encourage young seekers: those who can’t justify belief in God because of common doubts
• Challenge young skeptics: those who already have a pre-determined mindset
‘God’s Not Dead’ is both intelligent and easy-to-follow, compelling and relevant, wide-reaching and personable. It should be on the reading list of every young person, no matter where their faith lies.
“Young people aren’t being prepared with the answers they need to sustain their faith in the hostile environment of a university setting. Real faith isn’t blind, it’s evidence-based. And there’s an astounding amount of evidence that God’s not dead.”
“My hope is that there will be thousands of believers… who are able to defend their faith in the midst of the unbelieving culture around them. There are straightforward answers to the questions posed by skeptics, yet most believers aren’t familiar enough with them to explain them.” – taken from Rice Broock’s website.
God's Not Dead by Rice Broocks was published by Thomas Nelson in February 2013 and is our 19303rd best seller. The ISBN for God's Not Dead is 9780849948534.
“I'm reading the "Advance Reader's Copy" of God's Not Dead. It gets better with each chapter! Loved the concept of "Irreducible Complexity" and how Dr. Broocks simplifies it so even a grandfather can grasp a new concept!” – Greg Chapman, Facebook Comment.
After his college campus conversion, Rice Broock immediately entered a discussion with his hard-headed atheist brother, Ben. Later that day he baptized his brother and caught the evangelism bug.
“Since that day I’ve devoted my life to reaching out to an unbelieving, skeptical world with the message that God is indeed real and has revealed Himself in nature, as well as in history.’” – taken from his website.
Since then he co-founded Every Nation Ministries, which have established over 1,000 churches across 60 nations to date. His heart is for college students, and he spends most of his time equipping students to defend and share their faith. He’s also earned several academic titles including a doctorate in Missiology from Fuller Theological Seminary in California. Rice currently lives in Tennessee, with his wife Jody and their five children.
“Rice Broock’s compelling defense of the Christian faith is more than to-the-point apologetic’s. ‘God’s Not Dead’ speaks directly to uni students and young professionals, to believers, seekers and atheists who have grown up in our skeptical society.”
“Rice Brook says this: ‘Real faith isn’t blind, it’s evidence-based’. This book offers the evidence and compelling argument that will make faith credible, and believe in God reasonable.”
“Like a roadmap to the Christian basic’s, ‘God’s Not Dead’ feeds our naturally logical mind instead of ignoring it, to solidify the faith of a Christian reader and lay out the facts to everyone else.”
