You will gain clarity on the nature of worship

Discover the origins of worship and religion with Rob Bell.

Where did the first caveman or cave-woman get the idea that somebody, somewhere existed who needed to be worshipped, appeased, and followed?

And how did the idea evolve that if you didn't say, do, or offer the right things this being would be upset, agitated, or even angry with you?

Where did religion come from?

The answers to these questions and more are provided by favourite speaker Rob Bell.

This DVD was recorded on location from The God's Aren't Angry Tour. Where did religion come from? Where did the first caveman or cave-woman get the idea that somebody, somewhere existed who needed to be worshipped, appeased and followed? And how did the idea evolve that if you didn't say, do, or offer the right things this being would be upset, agitated, or even angry with you? Publisher Rob Bell in his own very special way of addressing an audience, tackles these issues with humour and clarity. He shows that despite all God has done for us through the ages we still create our own Gods and think that certain rituals are necessary for salvation. I watched entranced how by the use of a simple altar made from imitation stone blocks, Rob could tell so many memorable stories and give us so much to think about. I cannot recommend this DVD highly enough. I would have loved to see this presentation live and feel the atmosphere he created: but I’m sure watching quietly at home is just as useful.
