The Fat of the LandMary Bartholomew, via The Good Book Stall
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as I agree with everything that Chris Grummitt has to say. I have three slim daughters who take after their father, but I have never been and shall never be the shape they are and that’s fine! Through pregnancies and now retirement I have found that the only way to reduce my weight is to change my lifestyle and eating habits, not to follow a particular diet. However my will power alone has not been sufficient, at times I know I have eaten too much and now I know I need prayer to keep me going. I have not thrown away my scales as Chris Grummitt suggests but the fit of my clothes is the better indicator of how I am doing. Healthy eating, and a healthy spiritual life is the one true way to loving oneself and loving the Lord. Chris’ story of how he came to this state is inspiring and informative.
