Close Encounters

Lent is a time to draw closer to Jesus, and to be touched by him. In this devotional Lenten book, Eleanor Watkins meditates upon the transforming personal encounters with Jesus recorded in the Gospels – from the big characters like Joseph and Peter, to the no less important little boy who had the five loaves and the two fish – and draws the reader into those encounters.

For each of the forty days of Lent there is a presentation of a different character accompanied by a reading, a reflection and a prayer.
