Beyond This MomentMary Bartholomew, via The Good Book Stall
Beyond This Moment introduces a new character to those we met in From a Distance, Dr Molly Whitcombe a professor from Franklin College in Athens, Georgia has been forced out of her position by an ‘unfortunate indiscretion’ and the only opening available to her is to become the teacher at the newly built school in Timber Ridge, far away from her home town.
Posing as a recent widow, she is involved in a serious accident before she even arrives at the town and meets Sheriff James McPherson and the rich developer Brandon Tolliver, both of whom will feature in the following story.
Molly is immediately drawn to James, and he to her, but much will transpire before the happy ending! Molly’s success at the school, her meeting with the racial prejudice against any black family and the degrading circumstances that the immigrant Italian families are forced to endure ends in the inevitable disgrace of Molly herself and the loss of her job. Molly’s friendship with James and his sister Rachel, and the support she has from Dr Rand Brookston, another incomer from the south, all help to make this book another that you will find hard to put down.
A boxed set of this trilogy is now available at £22.99 ISBN 978-0-764-29360-3
