'Heaven on Earth' is novel number 3 in the Amish based romance series 'A Heaven on Earth' from the popular storyteller, Ruth Reid. This latest novel in the series where heaven breaks through to make the impossible possible, picks up the story of young Katie Bender. The drama opens with the apparent end of twenty-nine-year-old Katie’s dream of marriage. Since her fiancé died tragically seven years ago, she’s become settled into her role as the Amish settlement’s reliable, spinster schoolteacher. And that's how things look set to stay, until a tornado wreaks havoc across the county destroying the schoolhouse and several of the area’s farms.
Now vital supplies are low and the communities needs are great. Rebuilding the schoolhouse is a low priority but Katie knows a lot about surviving tragedy and she simply won’t accept that her days of teaching the Amish children are over. But even Katie can't bring about this restoration alone, no matter what she thinks of her own abilities. With the help of the angel Elias, one willful schoolteacher is about to learn a lesson in what it means to carry a cross for the person she loves.
Seemingly by chance, Seth Stutzman, a discredited master builder ,happened into town to install beehives on his brother-in-law’s property and to offer him healing and support following his wife’s recent death. Beehives aren’t his passion, but they’re his livelihood since making a fatal error while working on a neighbour’s barn. Seth arrives just as the tornado is wreaking havoc on Hope Falls. In spite of his previous construction error, he finds it difficult to avoid joining the work crew.
Both Katie and Seth have perfectly good reasons for avoiding each other, and romance is not in either person's building plan. But what God ordains is impossible to resist. Celestial influences change the course of their decisions as they learn patience toward eachother and grace toward the community. Seth and Katie can no longer deny that the sparks of passion that fly between them, which just might be love... and there is an angel at work in both their lives. Ruth Reid brings you a classic Amish romance with an added heavenly twist.
Katie has lived through tragedy and heartache. But with the angel Elias by her side, the best years of her life are just ahead. Welcome to 'A Heaven on Earth' Novel number 3.
When Katie Bender’s fiancé died in a tragic accident, so did her hope of finding love. Though heartbroken, Katie is also practical. In the years since the accident she has discovered her gift for teaching. But when a tornado destroys her small Amish settlement, including the schoolhouse, Katie doesn’t know how she will provide for herself.
Seth Stutzman arrived in Hope Falls days before the storm. And when he helps usher Katie and the children to safety, sparks fly. But Seth is only in town to help his brother, Amos, get back on his feet following the death of his wife. He can’t afford to have feelings for Katie.
Rebuilding the community is a huge task, and soon, Katie and Seth are working side by side. As they privately wrestle with their feelings for each other, another silent—and ultimate—battle for their hearts rages unseen.
Sworn to protect what God has ordained, the mighty angel Elias appears to them as a mysterious visitor. And with his guidance, Katie and Seth find the courage to take the first small steps toward the life, and love, they were destined for.
