Khali and the Orb of Xona

Khali lives on a dying planet called Kela. On his twelfth birthday, Khali's dad takes him on a secret mission but suddenly disappears when he goes to investigate a strange light from a cave, leaving Khali as orphan.

Khali is sent away to the Beacon, a residential facility for orphans at the Space Academy on Kela. He takes his other birthday present - a stone tablet with a puzzle on it.

He attempts to figure out the puzzle and plans to return to the sister planet to search for his father's body and the light source.

The tension mounts as Khali's enemies launch a viscous assault in a desperate attempt to steal what is now called the Arokah Stone (the table and its energy) before it is hidden from them in a secret location.
