Celebrating the Eucharist
Today's Price £10.35
Celebrating the Eucharist is a handbook to the Eucharist looking in detail at the principles of liturgical celebration as well as ritual instructions.
This approach to the rite will allow ministers to enable the community to gather and encounter Christ in word and sacrament, then be sent out in response to that encounter.
The handbook will help ministers to hold the liturgy together and proceed with a sense of momentum, moving the community from gathering to dismissal and allowing various members of the community to exercise their individual ministries within that gathered setting.

Once again, these wonderful slim guides have come up with a gem of a book. The guide will be useful to those who are just starting out their ministerial life and to those who want the questions answered about ritual and were not sure who to ask. Over the years I have been asked by congregation members “why did you do that?” or “when I was away the priest did this – what does it mean?”. Well this book will inform many traditions and perspectives of celebration. Included are Liturgical Style, settings, space, the vestments worn and why, how to prepare and through the whole aspect of this great and vital celebration of the Christian church. Do not be alarmed if you are of a certain tradition for this is for everyone and can be read and understood by clergy and laity alike. As the title suggests it is a practical guide, little theory, lots of answers and lots of interesting background to read about. I am sure it will become a necessary part of all initial Ministerial education and will no doubt be read by those who thought they knew everything there was to know about the Eucharist. What an important addition to the bookshelf do read it and soon.
