For many centuries, Christians of various denominations have found great help in books of prayers which were written outside of Scripture. While those prayer books include many phrases from Scripture, they are not Scripture itself.

Psalms and other passages were edited into an average of 22 verses per hour for twelve hours of all seven days of the week. The average time reading these prayers is about six minutes, or a tithe of each hour of the day.
