Quite often, as we read Scripture, we find that it is somewhat easier to understand but very difficult to obey, which can lead to a feeling of helplessness. We have been given revelation and instruction from the One True God in whom there is no hint of sin or darkness. He commanded in His Word, "Be ye holy for I am holy," and "Strive for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord." Through the reading of Scripture, we know what the Lord is expecting of us but feel insufficient and inadequate to accomplish what the Lord demands of us in our own strength. My desire is that from this book, we can get a glimpse into what the Scripture teaches about holiness. The Lord not only commanded us to be holy but also gave us practical instructions to follow, which, when we prayerfully ask God for help and put into practice, will enable us to grow in holiness.
