Looking Up In Faith

Looking up into the night sky, Leslie calls out to God for clarity. His answer causes her soul to tremble.

The side effects of childhood sexual abuse are many.Leslie confronts terror as she comes face-to-face with the evil that has followed her every step. Her eyes have been opened to what took place many years ago.

Questions swirl in her mind. Why did she not know? Why did the memories remain hidden for so long?

After a sleepless night, Leslie arises early in search of a quiet place to pray. She is feeling weary and overburdened. As she clasps her hands in prayer, she begins to weep. When she tries to unclench her hands, she cannot. A bigger and stronger hand is holding her. God is holding her hand as she cries and God does not let go.

Memories repressed long ago and buried deep will need to surface. But to heal, Leslie must remember. Where will she find the answers? How will she speak the words? Recollections are sure to be sketchy. She will need to travel to a dark place that she never intended to visit.

Through it all, it is God who will break the silence and give her the words. It is God who will shine the light on her past, show her the truth and set her free.
