It is working toward being perfect just as Jesus is perfect. It is about learning and performing the same work as He did. It is about learning to love God with all your heart mind and strength and loving our neighbor as ourselves. It is about letting Jesus remove the sinful self and replacing it with His righteousness. It is about Him making us into a spiritual church so that we can worship in spirit and in truth. so many have been misled by wrong teaching and what I call the feel good gospel. We have to come to understand that it is not what we do but the reason behind what we do that is important. If we are not working to establish His righteousness and doing all things to honor Him in Godly love we have missed the mark and our work is unacceptable to Him. It is not about just feeling good about what we do but learning to glorify Jesus and doing all things in Godly love.
