Transformation! Is it up to us to ask for it?

Yes, in part, it is but we need to look to others who have the lived experience for courage and hope. Dreams come true. I know because I have lived it. As a survivor I have been plunged into the depths of PTSD, depression and the depths of despair that no one wants to talk about. If one word describes this book it would be 'hope.'

This book meets a need-the need to break out of the cycle of behaviors that lead us nowhere. In fact, the recognition of the starting point is a clue that we need help and are ready to accept help. May this glimpse into my life be a prescription for the strength to reach out, the strength to become aware of the healing that awaits. God met that need for me and He awaits your request every day.

I speak for the silent ones. I speak for those who don't speak for themselves. My inner strength, instilled by God and nurtured by Mom challenged me to do one thing - to get healthy. Not only do I believe that God guarded my path, I believe that He led me to those who held the next key to wellness.

My message to you is this;

• Be intentional about recovery
• Be intentional about reaching out
• Be ready to face the road ahead with new tools and expected recovery

Donna Stone is a wife, mother and grandmother, residing in Lakeway, Texas where she nurtures the family and delights in grand-parenting. Her journey through life includes a military nursing career highlighted with experiences as a flight nurse, chief nurse and mentor. Donna is active in her church's Women's Ministry and continues to share God's grace with those who share this chapter of life with her.
