"And they seek to take my life." (1 Kings 19:10)

That sounds a lot like doubt and fear to me, Elijah. What about when God answered your prayers by shutting off the heavens? What about the three and a half years that God hid you away and provided for your every daily need? What about the fire and the rain? What about the defeat of 850 prophets of Baal against the one prophet of God? Do you really think God cannot handle the threat of one wicked and crazy queen? Do you really think God does not care about you?

He sounded just like us! That is because he was just like us, a man with a nature like ours. God uses us with our faults, our complexes, and our messes, and He does not throw us away when we struggle with selfishness, doubt, pride, or fear.
