The Bible in a Year - Launch Kit

We live in a day and age when the demands on a woman’s time are great, and our hearts are pulled in countless directions. It’s no surprise that many of us struggle to implement daily Bible reading as a practice. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Like Mary who “made the right choice” (Luke 10:42) when she stepped back from the busyness of life to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to His teaching, God wants you to experience the life change that happens when you prioritize spending time with Him.

In this one-year journey from Genesis through Revelation, walk through key passages of the Bible at a manageable, five-days-per-week pace. Based on the 260-day Foundations Bible reading plan, you’ll engage with daily devotional content, interactive questions, and Scripture memorization challenges, all designed to grow your relationship with God and your knowledge of Him. By using the H.E.A.R.T. journaling method, you’ll learn to highlight, explain, apply, respond to passages, and record the truths you find in Scripture, allowing for practical application throughout the year-long plan.

  Video Sessions:- How to Lead The Bible in a Year (13:33)—Leading a group through The Bible in a Year for the first time? This encouraging and practical video from Kandi will help you understand what a successful discipleship group and group leader looks like. Also included are tips for how to structure your group time and what the first few weeks of your group might look like.

• Session 1: Why Discipleship Matters (22:44)—In this video, which your group will watch together at your first meeting, you’ll hear from Kandi about her heart for daily Bible reading and the joy she has found in being a part of year-long discipleship groups over the years. Then listen in as Kandi interviews former group members about what it was like for them to first embark on a year-long discipleship group journey.
• Session 2: Discipleship Group Must-Haves (15:41)—This session includes helpful tips from Kandi and her other discipleship group members about essential elements for any The Bible in a Year group, including committing to a Bible reading plan, Scripture memorization, sharing what God is teaching you through His Word, and more.
• Session 3: What to Expect on Your Journey (22:03)—In this video, Kandi helps group members understand how to make daily Bible reading a priority (and some of the obstacles you’ll face as you do), what the H.E.A.R.T. journaling method involves, and why Scripture memory is an important practice for every follower of Jesus.
• Session 4: Sharing Your Life (14:57)—In this final session, which marks the end of the first month of The Bible in a Year group experience, Kandi explains the value of sharing testimonies and the benefits that come from being vulnerable and open with the women God has placed in your life for this year.
