    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Using personal anecdotes that immediately makes this book ‘user friendly’ Steve Levy, pastor of a Baptist church in Swansea, South Wales, takes us through the whole Bible giving as the title says, an overview of the contents. Through the whole of the Old Testament he highlights the presence of Jesus in a way I had not met before and gave much food for thought. With many Bible quotations the author explains the covenant God has with his people, what that means to the people and how they behave, constantly moving from following God’s guidance to rejecting it and back to following again. The New Testament part only briefly speaks about the Gospels, they tell their own story, Steve Levy moves on to ‘Acts and the church’ and ‘The church in Revelation’, before several helpful appendices. The writing style encourages you to keep reading, and it is well worth while reading all through.
