The World We All Want DVD Review

This DVD contains seven ‘talking heads’ videos which accompany the seven session ‘The World We All Want’ small-group course. Each is presented by Timmis and Chester in turn, both of whom do a creditable job despite the somewhat strange camera work in places. I found it off-putting to have the presenter not looking to camera but speaking off to the side and I wondered what effect the director was trying to achieve.

That aside the material is good and will initiate interesting debate in most small-groups. Designed as a programme for ‘those who are interested in discovering the message of the Bible, as an evangelistic tool I’d want to be sure that a group was ready for some of the material within and I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving ‘seekers’ to work through this alone.

The accompanying animation outlines the course, presents the story of the Bible from beginning to end, and is very good. Many Christians might well benefit from following the course.
