SPCK to launch reader app

SPCK will be launching a new reader app at CRE which will have all SPCK books available to download through the iTunes store.

SPCK’s Chief Executive, Sam Richardson, told Together magazine; “I understand thatChristian retailers may see this as a threat but we see this as taking market back from the big online retailers as opposed to something which will take market away from Christian bookshops.

“We’ll be keeping a close eye on this postlaunch and later this year we hope to have a ‘bundling’ proposition where customers purchasing the physical book in a bookshop will be able to get the ebook for free through the app which we hope will help the bookshops with their value proposition.”
