New chair announced as ECPA celebrates 40 years

ECPA (Evangelical Christian Publishers Association) celebrated its 40th anniversary at the ECPA Leadership Summit, held in April. More than 135 publishing leaders were present at the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs for ECPA Awards & Anniversary Banquet, with Alumni reception.

Among the many awards Kevin DeYoung’s Crazy Busy (Crossway) was named as 2014 Christian Book of the Year.

Duirng the summit a number of presentations were given including Mark Kuyper, ECPA’s President/CEO, ECPA: Looking Back and Moving Forward whist Cris Doornbos (President and CEO of David C Cook) and outgoing board chair gave

A Chairman’s Epilogue.Dwight Baker, president of Baker Publishing Group, was named as the new ECPA chair, succeeding Doornbos. Dave Moberg (SVP at HarperCollins Christian Publishing) was appointed as Vice-Chair succeeding GretchenGoldsmith, co-founder, president and CEO of Rose Publishing and Aspire Press.
