The latest live release from Aussie rock worshippers The Planetshakers Band.

The Planetshakers Band

‘24 live CDs?’ you say, ‘Since 2000?’ you exclaim. ‘Yes! Yes!’ I reply, ‘The Planetshakers Band are prolific!’ Averaging 2 CDs a year, it would seem that these guys produce worship music at an alarming rate, almost too fast. ‘How can they maintain any level of quality?’ one might credibly ask. Well this is how...

The Planetshakers Band aren’t just any old band. They aren’t are a group of musicians simply churning out album after album to keep the cash coming in. They are the musical wing of a wider church movement that spans Australia, South Africa and South East Asia. Musicians are trained at a specialist academy. Perhaps you've heard of Hillsong College or Nexus? They are places where musicians are encouraged to develop their skills, realising that making ‘a joyful noise to the Lord’ can be done in a skillful way, developing and displaying their God-given talents. The Planetshakers academy seeks to complete a similar mission, but is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Budding young musicians are given freedom and opportunities to lead worship and write songs, performing these on world tours, as well as leading massive congregations at the annual Planetshakers Conferences.

Heal Our Land

Now available at Eden.co.uk, the latest release from The Planetshakers Band ‘Heal Our Land’ is ready to take the UK by storm. In the vein of recent releases from Soul Survivor and Worship Central, this CD/DVD amplifies the anthemic stadium rock feel that appeals to people young and old.

Recorded live at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne, the electric atmosphere translates beautifully through the recording, as thousands of worshippers provide backing vocals for these talented musicians. Among others, Matt Garner, Israel Houghton and Henry Seeley feature.

The Planetshakers Band confirm the ability of the worldwide church to worship together; their global brand of worship has a very contemporary feel and is accompanied by meaningful lyrics consistent with Scripture. Look out for more information on the Eden.co.uk blog about this exciting new release: ‘Heal Our Land’.
