Last LBF at Earls Court hailed a success

Together Magazine

This year’s London Book Fair - the last to be held in the Earls Court premises - was hailed as “buzzing” and “busy”, although also thinner than usual in terms of good books on offer to UK editors, reported The Bookseller in April. The positive mood among delegates also extended to the move to the smaller Olympia venue for 2015, with publishers saying it was “a chance to get back to basics”.

Fair-goers were relaxed about the return to Olympia for next year’s event (14-16 April 2015). Andy Peden Smith of independent publisher McNidder & Grace, said the move was an opportunity for the fair to be “more focused in terms of exhibitors—there are too many IT/tech stands and LBF should take the move to Olympia as a chance to relaunch and get back to basics.”
