Eden Christmas Preview 2018

Whether you’re ready to admit it or not, for many Christmas gift buying is well underway. I’m personally one of those smug people who bought all my Christmas wrapping paper and a few presents on December 27th, in the sales. But I know plenty of people who live on the festive edge, and don’t start shopping until at least December 20th (eek!)

Christmas is still 12 and a half weeks away, so you’d be forgiven for thinking it doesn’t need to be talked about just yet. But for those who like to get ahead, here’s a preview of what’s to come at Eden this Christmas.

Real Advent Calendar 2018

For Advent: The Real Advent Calendar

Back again with a tranquil blue design, The Real Advent Calendar is a fun way for parents, grandparents and Godparents to share the Christmas story. The 2018 design calendar comes with a free 24-page Christmas story activity book, illustrated by award winning artist, Alida Massari.

The chocolate is still fairtrade and the yummy flavour thousands of you have come to expect from the Real Advent Calendar each year.

Also available in larger packs for Churches and schools.

The Art of Advent

The Art of Advent

Following the success of the stunning Lent book, this beautiful Advent study describes and interprets a series of paintings for each day of Advent.

Jane Williams' brilliant and perceptive reflections will help you to read these paintings with a more discerning eye, and discover deeper levels of meaning than may at first appear.

A beautiful addition to any coffee table this festive season.

Jesus Calling for Christmas

For you: Jesus Calling for Christmas

Yes, you’ll be buying gifts for one and all, but it’s also a good time to treat yourself and what better way then to carve out some quiet time amongst the busyness of Christmas?

This beautiful collection of 50 seasonally appropriate devotions is taken from Sarah Young’s bestselling devotional. In addition to the heartwarming devotions, enjoy the Christmas story from the Bible, Old Testament prophecies about the birth of Jesus, and exquisite images.

The Sleepy Shepherd

For Children: The Sleepy Shepherd

There is so much to choose from this year, for children of all ages. From the cute tale of a Christmas mouse to J. John’s delightful exploration of the theology of Christmas.

Even the Bishop of Reading has turned his immense wisdom to telling the Christmas story for children. Captivatingly illustrated, The Sleepy Shepherd is a timeless retelling of the Christmas story. Stephen Cottrell weaves together the Christmas and Easter stories for young readers, showing a message of why Jesus came to earth.

The 25 Days of Christmas

For the whole family: The 25 Days of Christmas

For so many, Christmas is the time to bring the family together. This unique devotional, The 25 days of Christmas, aims to do just that. Each two-page spread features a short story for you to read aloud, an inspiring Scripture verse, and a fun and easy family activity to remind you of what you learned that day.

This book is set to become an annual family tradition.

The Star	DVD

For Film Fans: The Star DVD

Another opportunity to bring the whole family together, The Star is thoroughly enjoyable and a wonderful, heart-warming, must see film that tells and celebrates the epic story of the first Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.

This thoroughly entertaining film features cameos from Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Clarkson, Kristin Chenoweth , Christopher Plummer  and Gina Rodriguez.

The Table CD

For Musical Moments: The Table CD

Last year saw the launch of new Hillsong Christmas worship, The Peace Project. This year, Hillsong Alumni Darlene Zschech brings her offering to the well, table! The Table brings together songs of hope and joy on a mission to build ‘longer tables and ‘lower walls’, welcoming all to the goods new of Christmas.

This CD is set to be a firm favourite featuring Christmas staples including: O Come All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, Silent Night and Oh Holy Night.
