Diary of a Disciple - What's Next?

One brightly-coloured highly-illustrated welcome message and we were all drawn in! Diary of a Disciple, released in September 2016, is Luke’s story retold for 8-11s.

Featuring illustrations from Emma Randall and the exciting, engaging imagination of Gemma Willis, it’s become a huge hit. Consistently high on our bestseller chart for well over a year, Diary of a Disciple went on to win Best Children’s Book in our Eden awards.

It was also produced in a small, 3-chapter format in time for World Book Day 2017.  

So what next for the wise disciple and his fascinating diary? After all, we know the story doesn’t end there.

Scripture Union has definitely taken notice of the impact, recognising that Diary of a Disciple has opened up the Bible afresh to a generation. So there isn’t just one… but now two iterations of Diary of a Disciple!

First up, The Diary of a Disciple Activity Book. The activity book features 64 fun and quirky puzzles, colouring pages, mazes, crosswords and more alongside excerpts from Luke’s Story. Just in time for the summer holiday boredom to kick in and perfect for long car journeys.

Now, Dr Luke has a whole new story to tell: Peter and Paul’s - a re-telling of Acts. Complete with sheep falling from the sky, bald heads and wrinkly noses - this action-packed story is set to excite and engage all over again! Released in October, we know this will be a firm favourite for Christmas.
