Christmas Gifts for Teen Girls

Laura White

The experience of buying Christmas gifts for teenagers can often be a minefield, especially if you want to buy a gift with a Christian theme. When attempting such a monumental task, everybody needs a helping hand, so here is my list of best Christian Buys for teenage Christians.

Music and Film

Look Up Child

Lauren Daigle’s newest album, ‘Look Up Child’ debuted at Number 3 on the American album chart, the Billboard 200 - the highest position for a Christian album on the chart for over nine years. With her popularity, her growing influence and her passion for God, her album could be a stellar gift this Christmas.

Miracles From Heaven

Miracles From Heaven is a heartwarming true story that will move all who view it and lead them to question the power of God and his love. The film’s synopsis reads:

“When Christy Bean (Jennifer Garner), mother to three bright daughters, find out that one of her bright little girls, Anna (played movingly by Kylie Rodgers), has a rare and incurable disease her world is thrown into chaos.

Working against an increasingly pressing clock, Christy searches to find a cure, hoping and praying for a cure whilst desperately trying to find a doctor who can help. Throughout Anna's degenerating illness, Christy wrestles with doubt, unable to understand how God could let such a sweet little girl become so very sick.

Everything feels hopeless until, one day, when Anna has a freak accident, the unbelievable happens.

Anna is suddenly, and inexplicably, cured.”

Non-Fiction Books

Teenage Prayer Experiment

The Teenage Prayer experiment is not a conventional non-fiction book for teenagers, but it’s mix of spiritual guidance, practical advice and ideas, could make it a game changer for some readers. The book's synopsis reads:

“This book is based on a blog run by Revd Miranda Threlfall-Holmes and her teenage son, Noah.

Miranda and Noah developed the blog and book as they could find nothing on the market to introduce teenagers to different ways of praying. Each chapter of the book introduces a prayer practice, e.g using labyrinths, Lego Bible modelling, prayer beads, prayer walking.

It also includes comments by teenagers who have tried it out and space for the young person to record their own thoughts.”

The Ten scientists who survived the nuclear war that destroyed the world above believe that emotion was at the core of what went wrong and they have genetically removed it from the citizens they have since created.

The more time she spends in the Scientist’s Pod, the clearer it becomes that things are not as simple as she was programmed to believe.
