It's been almost a full year since the first lockdown here in the UK. The effects of COVID-19 have shaken the foundations of the world and a lot of the systems we previously put our trust in. It has also raised a lot of questions about the cause and meaning of the virus.
How could God let it happen?
Is there a lesson to be learned in all this?
In response, there has been a number of Christian books about coronavirus written to help us understand what is happening. Some books answer those questions we have been turning over in our thoughts. Other books offer strategies for coping with the overwhelming scale of the pandemic.
To help, we have tried to cover in the fewest number of books, the broadest range of questions about coronavirus. These Christian books about coronavirus tackle a number of different issues. From the feeling the God being absent to what you can do as a Christian to how to be a healthy Christian in there new circumstances.
It's our hope and prayer that in this list will be a book to help you, encourage you and offer a measure of peace in Christ.
Where is God in a Coronavirus World? by John Lennox
"In this short yet profound book, Oxford mathematics professor John Lennox examines the coronavirus in light of various belief systems and shows how the Christian worldview not only helps us to make sense of it but also offers us a sure and certain hope to cling to."
Where is God in a Coronavirus world was one of the first books to be released in the wake of COVID-19, but it has proved to be the most popular. It offers clear and compelling answers as well as helpful ways to think about what is happening.

God and the Pandemic by Tom Wright
As with John Lennox's book, God and the Pandemic by Tom Wright offers ways to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Releasing the book a couple of months later, however, gave Tom Wright the space to respond to some of the unhelpful proclamations made about the crisis. "Tom Wright examines these reactions to the virus and finds them wanting. Instead, he invites you to consider a different way of seeing and responding – a way that draws on the teachings and examples of scripture, and above all on the way of living, thinking and praying revealed to us by Jesus."

5 Things to Pray in a Global Crisis by Rachel Jones
The Christian books about coronavirus mentioned so far explore how we can understand and grapple with COVID-19 as Christians. But understanding is only the half of it.
Part of the '5 Things to Pray' series, Rachel Joyce offers a plan for prayer that begins with praying for your heart and guides you through praying for family, church, the country and the world. If you want to pray but are struggling to find the words, this simple guide will help you pray in this time of crisis.

Coronavirus and Christ by John Piper
"In Coronavirus and Christ, John Piper invites readers around the world to stand on the solid Rock, who is Jesus Christ, in whom our souls can be sustained by the sovereign God who ordains, governs, and reigns over all things to accomplish his wise and good purposes for those who trust in him. Piper offers six biblical answers to the question, What is God doing through the coronavirus?—reminding us that God is at work in this moment in history."
