Apprentice: Walking the Way of ChristSue Allen, via The Good Book Stall
This is the official Spring Harvest Book for 2009/10
The Apprentice Steve Chalke. This is a very challenging book which goes to the root and the heart of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Using memorable stories and parables, which will keep coming back to challenge long after the book is read, the author shows how we are to be, to think and to act if we are really to follow in the footsteps of Christ. He makes the distinction between 'student'; one who learns from a teacher and 'apprentice'; one who so closely follows in his master's footsteps that his whole life mirrors that of the master . The style of the book makes it easy to read but the content makes for difficult decisions as we seek to follow the Master.
