Best friends from childhood, Jake literally owed Roger his life. But as they got older and went to high school things changed. Jake became the star athlete, adored by the rest of his basketball team and becoming the guy that has it all. Jake's future looks certain. He has a college scholarship, a beautiful girlfriend and the life that every teenager wants. Old friend Roger just doesn't fit into that life.
‘To Save a Life’ tells how former buddy, Roger, becomes a lost guy, tired of the world he lives in. He makes a dramatic and tragic choice to end that life once and for all. Now Jake can't go back to how things used to be – even if he wanted. In his pain and guilt, he searches for answers that begin to take him on a very different road.
This thoughtful and ultimately uplifting Christian DVD is about real life issues that face young people today and the difficult choices they have to make. In ‘To Save a Life’ teens struggle with regret, loneliness and pain, but this film also has something else, it's a story of hope. ‘To Save a Life’ is a movie about living a life of significance and will leave you asking yourself...What's my life going to be about?
The screenplay is written by Jim Britts and his wife Rachel who faced their own life changing redirection from Hollywood movie makers to youth pastors with a heart to communicate the biblical concept that we are never more like Jesus then when we reach out to the lonely, the marginalized and the hurting.
To Save a Life is an edgy film that’s ideal for families with teens, for youth groups and for starting discussion on teenage loneliness and exclusion. But it also has a much wider reach because, as Christians, we all meet the kind of people Jesus came for everyday and we choose how we treat them and how we reflect Christ to them.
This is a region 0 DVD and will play on any DVD player. (Running time 117 minutes)
The movie is rated PG because it deals with mature thematic elements including the effects of teen suicide, the impact of teen drinking, some drug references and some mild sexual images. This is to illustrate the dangers of these activities and in no way approves or condones such behaviour.

"With To Save A Life you have a quality produced film, with beautiful Cinematography, great actors and actresses, a good musical soundtrack and just an overall amazing story. Definitely the best movie I've seen in a while. Everyone should check this one out."
"I didn't know this was a Christian based movie. And the storyline and characters were amazing. Me and my brother were so into the movie we didn't even realize how late it was, or how tired we were. I love movies and am drawn to good dramas, especially Christian based ones."
