The Lion Classic BibleMary Bartholomew, via The Good Book Stall
There are many children’s bibles, so it is brave of Lion Publishing to bring out yet another. I approached it with caution and was delighted.
The stories are told with a fresh voice, and the artist has brought to the illustrations a new view of things that we have seen so many times previously. I have no hesitation in recommending this as I have spent many happy hours reading through, and there is much to read. This is not a picture book, but a Bible for an older child with just enough illustrations to break up the chapters, and an ideal stepping stone from Bible stories to an actual Bible translation. From Genesis to Revelation, here are carefully chosen stories from the whole Bible. Worthy of having the term ‘classic’ in the title.
