Andrew Mitchell grew up in Scotland and left a secure job in the fashion industry when God led Andrew into making music and his work was immediately picked up by Jack Steven - the former Sony A&R executive who signed the Eurythmics. Subsequently he was teamed up with producer Alan Shacklock (The Alarm, Roger Daltrey, Mike Oldfield and The Chemical Brothers). More important than this list is the fact that Alan has a solid walk with God. He has also worked with Graham Kendrick, Phil Keaggy and The Newsboys to name a few. Amazing - I'm genuinely captivated by this album!
I heard someone comment that Your Kingdom Come had really impacted them and that there was obvious anointing on both the lyrical content and musical proficiency - I tend to agree! It's certainly powerful stuff!
Fantastic lyrics and melodies
This is a fantasic album of new worship songs! Highly reccomend it and the songs are already being used in our large church of 500 people.
Nothing tastes like Jesus.
This album moved me to tears because it is so annointed to reflect the beauty of Jesus and particularly the song "Without your Love". There is a melody within the lyrics and sound that goes beyond what natural ears can hear and deep into the core of your spirit. I belive it encompasses something of the longing of creation itself for the coming of the Lord. It must be so hard to make a worship album that is not tainted with the longings of our soul but "Your Kingdom Come" reflects something of the longing of Christ that we be made whole. To know and see him as he truely is, to seek His mysteries and let him unclip your wings so you can soar again. The album and the hidden spirit of a great testimony it carries exudes the very fragrance of God. Only Jesus tastes like Jesus. You can hear a hidden a testimony of such deep pain in Andrew's life in some of the songs but this speaks of the glory of God who has clearly taken someone loved but broken and drawn him to His side and whispered "You're alright, my child, run with me and I will give you the wings to fly in me." Keep looking up and flying with Him Andrew.He will always give you the wings.He will always love you. Well done. I thoroughly recommend this album and the annointing for beauty and healing that it carries from Almighty God. If you haven't bought it then you should!
