The Shack
Where tragedy confronts eternity
Description
Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain? The pain in this novel is that Mackenzie Allen Philips’ youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness.
Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, ostensibly from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend.
Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare.
Incredibly well written and with many literary qualities this book is a must read.
Already causing a stir, this is a book people should read before making their own judgement.
"When the imagination of a writer and the passion of a theologian cross-fertilize the result is a novel of the order of The Shack." - Eugene Peterson, author of The Message.

Reading this book is life changing
As you become involved with Mack and his story it becomes yours and your walk with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. Many questions to answer, many insights that cause release and bring clarity to our relationship with Jesus. Amazing.
Can't stop thinking about it
Even though it is a fictional book, it has revealed to me in a dramatic way how God is with us in our darkest hours, and how much he suffered and still suffers with us. So hopeful, and as a christian and a mum, I can't stop thinking about it. I want to give it to everyone I know to read.
