The Four Loves
The Four Loves by C. S. Lewis was published by HarperCollins Publishers in July 1998 and is our 7539th best seller. The ISBN for The Four Loves is 9780006280897.
C.S. Lewis's famous inspirational work on the nature of love. C.S. Lewis's famous work on the nature of love divides love into four categories: Affection, Friendship, Eros and Charity. The first three are loves which come naturally to the human race. Charity, however, the Gift-love of God, is divine in its source and expression, and without the sweetening grace of this supernatural love, the natural loves become distorted and even dangerous.

Lewis In Depth - Jo, Sales & Marketing Manager, Eden.co.uk
This is one of my favourite C. S. Lewis titles, it is a fantastic example of how Lewis takes a difficult area of theology, then weaves a narrative that allows the reader to explore with him the subject, in a way that neither confuses or patronises. The Four Loves (affection, friendship, sexuality and charity) belongs on every bookshelf and shows that as human beings we were created to be so much more than we so often imagine.
